Stübben Bit Fitting

At Stübben, we understand the importance of finding the right bit for your horse. A properly fitted bit can greatly improve communication between horse and rider, leading to a more harmonious and successful partnership. That’s why our fitting process goes beyond just selling bits – it’s about finding the perfect match for you and your horse.

To begin, we start with an in-depth analysis through our bit fitting questionnaire. This allows us to gather important information about your horse’s conformation, training level, and any behavioral issues you may be experiencing. We also take into consideration your own riding style and preferences as a rider.

Next, we carefully examine your current bit and its fit on your horse. Many times, discomfort or resistance in the horse.

How does the Bit Fitting proceed?
The information you provide in the following form will give us an initial overview of your requirements.
A detailed analysis of the fit and effect of the current bit during riding is carried out on site at the beginning and initial problems are identified. 
Then you will have the opportunity to test ride various bits. Our experts will give you comprehensive advice (on mouth and side pieces, size, strength, etc.) to show you the best options for your horse. At the end of the fitting, you will of course have the chance to purchase a suitable bit.

Minimum number of participants: A bit fitting appointment requires a minimum of three horses.
Costs: If the bit fitting is part of a saddle fitting, it is for free. For a bit fitting appointment, the cost is 150,- (overall, not per horse).
